Ray Starling

Ray Starling serves as an Executive Advisor at Aimpoint Research® and holds the position of General Counsel for the NC Chamber, where Ray also presides as President of the NC Legal Institute. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ray is an Adjunct Professor teaching Agricultural and Food Law and Policy. Previous roles include Chief of Staff at USDA, Special Assistant to the President for Agriculture and Agricultural Trade at The White House, and Chief of Staff and General Counsel for the United States Senate, focusing on judiciary and agricultural matters. Ray's earlier experience includes serving as General Counsel for the Office of the NC Speaker of the House, General Counsel at the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, and as an Associate at Hunton & Williams LLP. Ray earned a B.S. in Agricultural and Extension Education, Magna Cum Laude, from North Carolina State University, followed by a J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
