John Sloop is currently serving as a Legislative Assistant for the North Carolina General Assembly since December 2023, following an earlier role as an Office Services Assistant at Cranfill Sumner LLP, where John provided administrative support to legal staff. Prior experience includes a Congressional Internship with the U.S. House of Representatives, focused on constituent services and casework. John's background also features a position as Document Manager at the THOMAS R & ELIZABETH E MCLEAN FOUNDATION INC and a variety of roles in customer service and counseling. John holds an Associate of Arts in Political Communication from Wake Technical Community College and has previously attended Elon University.
