Raphael Berner is a scientific researcher at EPFL since November 2024, with a robust background in mixed-signal integrated circuit design and chip engineering. Previous experience includes roles as a lead engineer in chip design at Sony Advanced Visual Sensing AG from December 2019 to October 2024, and co-founder and head of chip design at Insightness, which was acquired by Sony Semiconductor in 2019. Raphael also served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich from November 2011 to June 2013, and held positions at ALi Corporation as an analog/RF IC design engineer, and as a PhD student focused on mixed-signal IC design at ETH Zurich from 2007 to 2011.
