Matt Alexander

Matt Alexander is a highly skilled geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as the State Geotechnical Engineer at NCDOT since October 2022, Matt previously worked at Terracon as a Geotechnical Engineer and Project Manager from October 2009 to October 2022, where responsibilities included planning and performing geotechnical investigations and preparing related reports. Earlier, Matt was a Staff Professional at WPC, Inc. from 2007 to 2009, focusing on construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering services. Matt's career began in landscaping with Proscape & Irrigation from 2000 to 2007. Educationally, Matt holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from North Carolina State University.
