Michelle Howes

Michelle Howes, PE, is a Corridor Development Engineer with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) since October 2017, serving in various capacities including Senior Corridor Development Engineer and Transportation Engineer within the Transportation Planning Division. Prior to this role, Michelle was self-employed, managing a sabbatical year dedicated to exploring the Bahamas on a sailboat from October 2016 to October 2017. Previous experience includes serving as a Rotational Engineer with the Utah Department of Transportation from February 2015 to October 2016, and as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs from July 2013 to January 2015, as well as a Student Co-op at The Great Lakes Construction Company from May 2011 to September 2012. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Akron, earned between 2008 and 2013.
