Robert Barrier

Robert Barrier, P.E., is a seasoned transportation professional with extensive experience at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) since July 2007. Currently serving as State Transportation Asset Manager, Barrier has held several key positions, including Senior Staff Engineer and Maintenance Programs Engineer, overseeing various statewide maintenance initiatives such as contract mowing and fleet management. Previous roles involved providing engineering support for the State Road Maintenance Unit and gaining diverse engineering experience during a two-year rotation through multiple NCDOT units.
