Xin Wang is an accomplished transportation professional with extensive experience in travel demand modeling, transportation data analysis, and environmental sustainability. Xin Wang has served as a Travel Demand Modeler at the Virginia Department of Transportation from January 2015 to June 2019, and currently holds the position of Engineer in the Model Research and Development Group at NCDOT since June 2019. Previous academic roles include Adjunct Faculty at Old Dominion University, where Xin Wang taught Transportation Fundamentals, and Research Scientist at The Center for Innovative Transportation Solutions, focusing on travel demand modeling and spatial analysis. Xin Wang also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Tennessee, specializing in big data analysis and transportation safety. Educational qualifications include a BS in Transportation Engineering and an MS in Transportation Planning and Management from Southwest Jiaotong University and Southeast University, respectively, along with a PhD in Transportation from Old Dominion University.
