Tim Miller, P.E. has a diverse work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Tim started their career as an Engineer at Bechtel Power Corporation in 1981. Tim then worked at O'Neal, Inc. as a Civil Engineer, Project Manager, and eventually Vice-President from 1984 to 2002. After that, they served as the Director of Operations at Site Design Inc. in 2003. In 2004, they started their own company, Miller Consulting Services, where they worked as the Owner and President until 2005. From 2005 to 2022, they joined NCEES and held various positions including Exam Development Engineer and ultimately the Chief Officer of Examinations. Currently, they have retired but continues to work as the Retired Chief Officer of Examinations at NCEES.
Tim Miller, P.E. graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. This marks the culmination of their formal education in the field.
NCEES
NCEES (the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors. It develops, administers, and scores the examinations used for engineering and surveying licensure in the United States. It also facilitates professional mobility and promotes uniformity of the U.S. licensure processes through services for its member licensing boards and licensees. These services include the records program, study materials, credentials evaluations, exam administration, and more. The Council’s members are the engineering and surveying licensure boards from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
