Rachael Lacey has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Rachael started their career in 2007 as a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism at Middlesbrough College, where they delivered high-quality teaching and learning. During their time at the college, Rachael also held the position of Cross College Awarding Body Coordinator and later became the Head of Quality Assurance - STEM, where they led quality assurance processes and ensured compliance with standards.
In 2012, Rachael joined Pearson as a Standards Verifier and worked with the company until 2020. In this role, they ensured the quality and compliance of various standards.
In 2020, Rachael joined NCFE as the Principal Lead External Quality Assurer, where they are responsible for maintaining quality assurance in education and training.
Throughout their career, Rachael has showcased their leadership skills, demonstrated their ability to drive excellence in teaching and learning, and maintained effective partnerships with awarding bodies and stakeholders.
Rachael Lacey began their education at Grangefield School, where they completed their GCSEs in various subjects between 1995 and 2000. Rachael then attended Middlesbrough College from 2000 to 2002, focusing on Travel and Tourism. Rachael went on to study at Teesside University from 2002 to 2004, earning an HND in Tourism and Travel Services Management. Later, in 2006 and 2007, they pursued a Certificate of Education at the University of Sunderland. Finally, Rachael completed their education at Teesside University from 2012 to 2014, obtaining a BA (Hons) degree in Education.
