Nerou Cheng is a highly experienced and accomplished professional with over 35 years of experience in the field of assurance and accounting services. He is the founder of NCheng LLP, a reputable firm that has provided valuable services to clients, including nonprofit and government entities, since 1989. Nerou has extensive expertise in areas such as governance, regulatory compliance, and control procedures, and has been recognized for his ability to provide insightful and strategic advice to his clients.

Before starting his own firm, Nerou spent 10 years working as a partner at two medium-sized CPA firms in New York City. During this time, he served as the Engagement Partner in their nonprofit practice and was responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting and assurance projects for a diverse client base. He also gained valuable experience by conducting seminars on accounting and governance issues impacting the nonprofit sector, which allowed him to share his knowledge and expertise with a wider audience.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Nerou is a committed and dedicated member of the nonprofit community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of several organizations, including Friends without a Border, an organization that has built and operates pediatric hospitals in Cambodia and Laos. He also serves on the boards of The New American Leaders Project, APICHA Community Health Center, and Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC).
