Monica Grover

Monica Grover has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Monica began their career as an Executive Assistant at the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, where they planned conferences and managed the President's calendar. Monica then worked as a Digital Sports DC Project Manager and Executive Assistant at the Kimsey Foundation, where they managed a project highlighting student-athletes' success and created marketing materials.

Later, Monica served as a Digital Media Project Manager at The Global Fund for Children, managing web projects, creating online communities, and coordinating educational programs. Monica then became a Program Manager at the DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation, managing grantee programs and ensuring compliance.

Monica's entrepreneurial spirit led their to found and own their own business, Bazaar Spices, where they developed strategic communications plans, fostered strategic partnerships, and managed resources effectively. Monica then joined the Institute of International Education as a Project Manager, overseeing professional exchange projects and coordinating with international partners.

Most recently, Monica has been working at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) as the Director of the Executive Office. In this role, they develop and implements policies, coordinates travel arrangements, and acts as a liaison between different departments. Monica has also served as a Project Manager in the Membership, Policy, and Equity Division at NCRC, supporting strategic processes, collaborating with external partners, and managing the organization's strategic plan. Prior to that, Monica held the position of Special Assistant to the Chief of Race, Wealth, and Community at NCRC, where they provided administrative and programmatic support and facilitated marketing and media relations efforts.

Monica Grover completed their high school education at Key School, earning a High School Diploma from 1991 to 1995. Monica then pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Italian from Mount Holyoke College between 1995 and 1999. In 1997 and 1998, they participated in a Junior Year Study Abroad program at Syracuse University in Florence, Italy, focusing on Italian and Sociology. Monica later obtained a Master of Arts degree in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco, from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, they acquired certifications in "Developing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program" and "Inclusive Leadership" from LinkedIn in March 2021.
