Songyee Y.

President & CSO at NCSoft

Songyee Y. is the president and CSO of NCSoft, a South Korean video game developer. Songyee previously served as vice president at SK Telecom from 2004 to 2007 and as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company from 2000 to 2002.

Y. began their career at McKinsey & Company in 2000, where they worked as an engagement manager for two years. Songyee then joined SK Telecom in 2004 as vice president, where they oversaw the company's wireless data communication division and helped grow the company's market share.

In 2007, Y. left SK Telecom to join NCSoft, where they have served as president and CSO since. Under their leadership, NCSoft has become one of the leading video game developers in South Korea, with a number of successful titles to its credit.

Dr. Songyee Y. received their Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Songyee also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Dr. Songyee Y. is also a Doctor of Law, having graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law.

Their manager is Kim Taek-Jin, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Stephen Clarke-Willson - VP of Technology, Richard Zinser - SVP of Player Experience, and Jin Soo Jung - COO.
