Steve Lavdas has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles. From 1997 to 1998, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at BAE Systems, where they designed and interfaced FPGA based digital designs for IFF radar systems. In 1998, they joined Vicon Industries as a Software Engineer, where they designed and coded embedded software for CCTV security products. Steve then worked at Merrill Lynch from 2000 to 2002 as a Senior Software Consultant, designing and coding a cross-platform portfolio trading system. From 2002 to 2008, they worked at The Nielsen Company as a Principal Software Engineer, developing an ultra high-performance TV ratings reporting system. Starting in 2008, they joined SXP Analytics as a Lead Software Architect/Quant, where they focused on algorithmic trading strategy development. Since 2012, they have been working at NCSolutions, initially as the Director of Research and Development and later as the Director of Research Development, specializing in statistical causal modeling and developing machine learning models for consumer purchasing behavior and advertisement exposure.
Steve Lavdas obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Steve attended from 1993 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, completing it from 1997 to 2000.
