Jordan Sewell began their professional career in 2013 as a Software Engineer Intern at Selex ES. In 2014, they were an Ultrasound Software Engineer Intern at Toshiba Medical Systems Europe, where they conducted research and development of volumetric noise filtering and smoothing techniques for 3D Ultrasound scans. In 2015, Sewell joined NCTech Imaging as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer - R&D, where they focused on research and computer vision algorithm development. Jordan also led the innovation team and conducted R&D work in SLAM. In the same year, they were promoted to Senior Computer Vision Engineer - 3D Reconstruction Line Manager, where they led and managed a small team responsible for 3D reconstruction and multiple camera systems. Sewell also prototyped a millimetre precision face scanning solution for use in the medical field. Additionally, they took ownership of building out 3D data capture solutions, experimenting with the latest depth sensors and building prototype 3D scanning solutions.
Jordan Sewell has a Master of Science (MSc) in Informatics - Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh, which they obtained from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a BSc in Mathematics and Applied Computing from the University of Dundee, which they obtained from 2010 to 2014.
