Dave Coombs holds both a BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia, where they studied from 1982 to 1988. They began their career at Perkin Elmer Limited as an IR Product Support Specialist from 1982 to 1986, before moving to Specac Limited, where they served as General Manager from 1992 to 2009. From 2010 to the present, Coombs has been working at NDC Infrared Engineering in a Technical/Commercial role, focusing on on-line and at-line Near Infrared Process monitoring. Additionally, they held a second stint as an IR Product Support Specialist at Perkin Elmer from 1990 to 1992. Coombs specializes in infrared spectroscopy, NIR spectroscopy in process control, business development, and global distribution channel partnerships.
