Deborah Koolbeck

Deborah Koolbeck is a seasoned specialist in legislative and regulatory affairs, currently working as a federal lobbyist for NEA and self-employed since 2020. They have served in various impactful roles, including Legislative Director for U.S. Representatives Barbara Lee and Marcy Kaptur, and have directed policy efforts for the Council on Competitiveness. Deborah has developed a comprehensive understanding of government relations, grassroots advocacy, and policy strategy throughout their career, complemented by a strong academic background in physics and astronomy from the University of Arizona and ongoing education at DePaul University.
