Matthew Bennet has extensive experience in organizing and advocacy within the education sector. Currently serving as Associate Director for Year-Round Organizing at the NEA since May 2016, Matthew leads efforts to enhance membership growth, develop leadership capacity, and support union engagement across state affiliates and local unions. Prior roles at the Massachusetts Teachers Association included Field Manager for Growth, Leadership, & Union Engagement, as well as Grassroots Campaigns Coordinator, focusing on member engagement and legislative advocacy. Matthew's educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science with a focus on International Relations from Boston University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School.
