Michele O'Neill is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in both teaching and educational advocacy. Currently serving as the Lead Organizational Specialist at NEA since July 2022, Michele has previously held significant roles, including Educational Issues Specialist and UniServ Representative at the Connecticut Education Association, where responsibilities included professional development for educators and lobbying for education policies. Additionally, Michele is an accomplished performer with Steve Elci and Friends and the Comedy on Demand Improvisational Troupe, showcasing talent in children's music and improvisational theater. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Saint Joseph, along with dual certifications in English and History from Eastern Connecticut State University. Michele's dedication to the field of education has been recognized through various awards, including the Outstanding State Aspiring Educator Organizer Award and the NELMS Promising Practitioner Award.
