Enterprise Solutions Engineer I at NECI

Benjamin Cappello has a diverse work experience in various fields. Benjamin started working at Draper in 2017 and 2018 as a Student Undergraduate Engineer, where they designed MATLAB-based graphical user interfaces, organized networking meetings, and validated electrical continuity. In 2019, they worked as a Fuel Cell Laboratory Technician at the University of Kansas, where they processed and modeled performance data of a hydrogen-vanadium fuel cell and analyzed thermodynamic and electrochemical properties. In 2020, they had roles as a Server at Applebee's and a Technical Intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where they published a paper on chemical warfare agent degradation, analyzed IR spectra, and consolidated uranium mill metadata. Benjamin also worked as a Thermodynamics Laboratory Analyst at the University of Kansas, optimizing refrigerant/lubricant system models. Currently, they are an Enterprise Solutions Engineer at NECI since 2022 and will start working as an Automation Engineer at Moderna in January 2023.

Benjamin Cappello's education history includes coursework in Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2017 to 2018. Benjamin then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Kansas from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their academic education, Benjamin has obtained certifications such as "Engineer In Training" from the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, obtained in February 2022, and "10-hour General Industry Safety and Health Training" from the OSHA Training Institute Education Center, obtained in January 2022.
