Jaco Mostert

Jaco Mostert is an experienced Nuclear Safety Specialist with a demonstrated history in the nuclear industry, particularly focused on Research Reactors. Jaco has worked at Necsa since 2007, currently serving as the Manager of Nuclear Safety, where responsibilities include overseeing the Nuclear Safety process and managing reactor safety. Previously, Jaco held the position of Head of Nuclear Safety Engineering at Necsa and worked as an Ionizing Radiation Metrologist at the National Metrology Institute of South Africa, where notable contributions included developing national measurement standards for radiation. Jaco earned a PhD in Physics from the University of the Orange Free State in 1997 and a Master of Information Technology from the University of Pretoria.
