Len Nel

Len Nel is an experienced nuclear operations professional with over 30 years in reactor operations, training, and technical support at SAFARI-1. As the Head of Reactor Technical Support at NECSA since 2025, they lead and coordinate specialized technical support to ensure safe and efficient reactor operations. Previously, they served as a SAFARI-1 Training Officer and Reactor Shift Supervisor at Necsa from 1998 to 2008. Len holds a Diploma in OD ETDP from Macau Vlei Learning Academy, completed in 2018, and is passionate about knowledge transfer, team mentoring, and fostering a safety-driven culture in the nuclear sector.
