Mathias (Ty) Ravsten has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity, DevOps, and engineering. Mathias (Ty) started their career at the Biomedical Engineering Western Regional Conference as the 1st Chair of Website Administration & Development. Mathias (Ty) then worked as a Freelance Web Developer at PerkNow, Inc., where they developed and administered web applications. Later, they joined BYU Marriott School of Management as an Information Systems Career Consultant, where they created dashboards and filled various roles. At GitLab Inc., they worked as a Frontend Engineer, fixing bugs and building web pages. Mathias (Ty) then joined Information & Communication Services (ICS) as a Full Stack Engineer, before joining Skipio as an Engineering Manager, where they managed a QA team. Later, they worked at Podium as a Site Reliability Engineer, overseeing various aspects of server maintenance, security, and software engineering. Mathias (Ty) then moved on to Sentropy Technologies (acquired by Discord) as a DevOps Engineer, where they created deployment strategies and managed security measures. Most recently, they worked at Aumni as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer and Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where they played a key role in building network and infrastructure security measures and developing a Cybersecurity Risk Management program. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Cybersecurity & DevOps at Nectar.

Mathias (Ty) Ravsten earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business in 2014-2017. Prior to that, they pursued General Studies at Idaho State University in 2011-2012. Recently, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on IT Security & Compliance, Private & Public Investing at the University of Utah from 2020-2021.
