Matthew Cecchini M.D.

Dr. Matthew Cecchini has extensive experience in the field of pathology. Matthew currently works as a Pathologist at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) since July 2020. In addition to their role at LHSC, they are also the Head of Pathology at Need since July 2022. Dr. Cecchini holds the position of South West Regional Cancer Program Pathology Clinical Lead at Cancer Care Ontario | Action Cancer Ontario since March 2022. Matthew is also an Assistant Professor at Western University since July 2020. Prior to these roles, they served as a Pulmonary Pathology Fellow at Mayo Clinic from July 2019 to July 2020. Matthew began their career as a Resident Physician at London Health Sciences Centre in July 2014 and held this position until July 2019. In addition, Dr. Cecchini served as the Director of PGME for Annual Meeting Committee at CAP-ACP from October 2016 to July 2018.

Matthew Cecchini MD, PhD completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnology from Brock University, during the period of 2004 to 2007. Following this, they pursued an MD/PhD program in Biochemistry at Western University from 2007 to 2014.
