John Kluge is the advisor at Needslist and the founder of the Refugee Investment Network. John has also worked as a visiting fellow in social entrepreneurship at the University of Virginia and as the co-founder and chief disruption officer of Toilet Hackers Inc.

John Kluge attended Columbia University in the City of New York where they received their Bachelor of Arts in American Studies. John then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business with a focus in business and social innovation. John Kluge has also completed a graduate-level course in business fundamentals and tactics from General Assembly. Prior to attending college, John Kluge spent their high school years at Phillips Academy and their junior high school years at Eaglebrook School. In addition to their academic degrees and coursework, John Kluge also holds a certification in impact investing and blended finance for development agencies and foundations from the University of Zurich - Department of Banking and Finance.
