Alex, Yeong Shyang LEE has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Starting in 1992, they served as a Lecturer at Chin Min Institute of Technology, teaching courses and supervising students' projects. From 2000 to 2004, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at National Chiao Tung University, managing advanced research projects in the field of electronic/optoelectronic semiconductor devices and applications. In 2004, they joined AU Optronics Corporation (AUO) as a Section Manager, leading a team in the development of high-performance amorphous silicon (a-Si) TFT-LCD products. They also designed and fabricated a world's first 32-inch TV of microcrystalline silicon (a-Si/µc-Si) TFT-LCD. In 2008, they held the positions of Director of R&D and Senior Consultant at DuPont Apollo Limited where they managed R&D teams, developed thin-film solar photovoltaic technologies, and planned and implemented business strategies. Since 2015, they have been working as the CTO at NEFIN (New Energy Financing and Consulting Limited), involved in the development of solar PV power plants and the analysis of photovoltaic materials and equipment.

Alex, Yeong Shyang LEE has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, which was obtained from 1991 to 1999. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1991, they completed a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University. Their educational journey began at National Taiwan Ocean University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from 1985 to 1989.
