VP Engineering at Neighbor

Matt Smith has worked in the technology industry since 1991. Starting as a Software Developer at MegaWest, they then moved to Intermountain Healthcare as a Software Developer. In 1996, they joined Microsoft as a Sr. Consultant and Software Design Engineer. In 2009, they became the Chief Architect at LDS Church and in 2010, they were the Director of Technology Strategy at PDS - Productive Data Solutions. In 2011, they were a Sr. Principal Engineer (Tech Lead - Search and Big Data) at FamilySearch and in 2014, they were the Director of Engineering - Analytics at Instructure. Most recently, in 2020, Matt Smith was appointed as the VP Engineering at Neighbor.

Matt Smith attended the University of Utah from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In 2004 and 2005, they attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, where they earned a Microsoft Business Certificate in Business.
