Gregor Pacnik

Gregor Pacnik has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Currently, they are the CTO at Neighbourlytics, a position they have held since September 2020. Before that, they worked as the Head of Engineering at Neighbourlytics from February 2020 to September 2020. Prior to joining Neighbourlytics, Gregor worked at MYOB as a Principal Developer from May 2019 to February 2020.

Gregor's previous experience includes working at TAL Life as an Innovation Delivery Manager from October 2018 to May 2019, where they played a significant role in developing the Data Science Continuous Delivery platform. Gregor also held various roles at TAL Life, including Innovation Engineer/Tech Lead from May 2017 to October 2018 and Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead from July 2012 to May 2017.

Before TAL Life, Gregor worked at Leopard Systems as a Senior Software Developer from February 2012 to June 2012. Prior to that, they worked at Kaiser Trading Group as a Quantitative Research Developer from November 2009 to November 2011, where they focused on algorithm and software development, machine learning algorithms research and development, and time series analysis.

Gregor's previous experience also includes working at Brave Energy Systems Pty Ltd as a Software Developer from October 2008 to November 2009, Centre for E-education and Lifelong Learning as a Project Technical Manager from April 2007 to October 2008, TriTim as a Software Architect and Database Administrator from January 2008 to April 2008, and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as an Assistant Researcher from October 2004 to March 2007, where they conducted research and implementation in computer and robot vision, neural networks, and speech recognition.

Gregor Pacnik completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science, with a focus on Software Development, at the Univerza v Mariboru from 2000 to 2008. During this time, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science, specializing in Mechatronics, from 2000 to 2004 at the same university. Additionally, they earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Univerza v Mariboru from 2004 to 2007.

In terms of certifications, Gregor Pacnik obtained the MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer) certification from Microsoft in 2008, as well as the MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer) certification in the same year.
