Ashley Steffensmeier

Ashley Steffensmeier, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Accounting at Nelnet, a role held since July 2019, following a progression from Manager and Senior Accountant to Financial Analyst II within the organization. Prior to Nelnet, Ashley gained experience as a Senior Accountant at HBE LLP from September 2014 to July 2019 and worked as an Auditor at Ameritas for a brief period in 2014. Ashley began the professional career as an Associate Accountant at Kennedy and Coe, LLC, from September 2012 to May 2014. Educationally, Ashley holds a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, obtained in 2012, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the same institution, completed in 2011.
