Jae Kang

Jae Kang has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Jae has held positions such as Deputy Chief Risk Officer at Nelnet, where they managed enterprise risk management and quantitative model risk management. Jae also served as a Strategic Advisor SPAC at Blue Ocean Acquisition Corp, conducting due diligence and assisting in identifying de-SPAC targets. At Sallie Mae, Jae Kang was Head of Risk Management and Analytics, managing enterprise risk management and rebuilding risk management infrastructure. Jae was also the Head of CIT Bank Strategy and M&A at CIT, contributing to the growth of the bank and evaluating strategic opportunities. Prior to that, they worked at AIG as the Global Head of M&A, Strategy and Restructuring, overseeing global business strategies and executing financial, operational, and legal restructuring. Jae Kang has an MBA from The Wharton School, specializing in Finance. Jae also holds a Master's degree in Data Science (ML and AI) from Penn State University. Prior to their postgraduate studies, Jae Kang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics with Honors from the University of Chicago.
