Daniel Bates

Daniel Bates is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in civil engineering and business ownership. Since July 2021, Daniel has been operating a small business under Northern Pines Engineering, while also serving as a Civil Engineer II at Nelson Engineering since November 2015. Daniel's career began with the Bay of Plenty Regional Council as an Engineering Hydrologist from February 2010 to February 2012, following educational pursuits at Santa Clara University, where a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering were earned. Additional experience includes roles as a GIS Lab System Administrator and Research Assistant at the Environmental Studies Institute, and as the owner and operator of a startup aquarium business.
