Christopher Forinash is currently the Principal and DC Office Leader at Nelson\Nygaard. Christopher returned to the Institute for Sustainable Communities in 2012, where they served as Director of U.S. Program Implementation and Director of Washington D.C. Office until 2017.

In 2016, Forinash was loaned from ISC to advise EPA Office of Sustainable Communities on smart growth and climate mitigation and adaptation policy. Christopher held this position until 2017, when they became Principal and DC Office Leader at Nelson\Nygaard.

Christopher Forinash has a MS in Civil Engineering / Transportation Planning from Northwestern University and a BS in Civil Engineering from Duke University. Christopher also went to Taylor High School.
