Christopher Forinash

Christopher Forinash has an extensive background in transportation planning and sustainable communities. From their role as Senior Principal at Nelson/Nygaard Consulting Associates to their time as Director of U.S. Program Implementation at the Institute for Sustainable Communities, Christopher has led various projects promoting compact, walkable, and economically resilient communities. Additionally, Christopher has served in roles such as Senior Advisor for Smart Growth and Climate at the US EPA and Chairman of the Arlington County Planning Commission. With a MS in Civil Engineering/Transportation Planning from Northwestern University and a BS in Civil Engineering from Duke University, Christopher is a highly qualified professional in the field.
