James’s approach to mobility planning is informed by a diverse background in environmental and climate science, urban planning, socio-economic development, and transportation engineering. Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, James served as an operations planning intern at New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority. He has also assisted with academic research on flood risk perceptions in cities along the Hudson River to inform municipal flood management policy.
