Jeri Stroupe

Jeri brings nearly a decade of experience in project management and implementation of public realm projects, programs, and policies that support healthy, connected, and equitable communities. Jeri has expertise in complete streets, pedestrian and cyclist safety, corridor planning and evaluation, community outreach and facilitation. Her collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to address transportation and mobility challenges helps organizations and communities achieve excellent and inclusive outcomes.

Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Jeri led place-based initiatives at Wayne State University’s Office of Economic Development, leveraging university assets for neighborhood improvements and shifting from a commuter culture to an easily navigable and connected campus. She worked on two of Michigan’s first health impact assessments focused on corridor redevelopment and non-motorized plans, and has studied best practices for pedestrian and bicycle facilities in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Berlin. She served as Chair of the Regional Transportation Authority of Southeast Michigan’s Citizens Advisory Committee in 2017 and is Green Belt certified in Lean Six Sigma.
