Karen La

Karen is passionate about integrating sustainability and equity into transportation networks. She strives to incorporate innovative travel solutions, so people can comfortably and safely navigate through the built environment with their preferred transportation mode choice.

Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Karen worked in the public sector, both at the state and regional levels. At the California Strategic Growth Council, she conducted research for capacity-building projects to help communities become more climate resilient. While at LA Metro, Karen supported the development of grant applications to fund rail, transit, and active transportation projects to advance the region’s climate equity goals.
