Sam Wright

Sam has more than eight years of experience in transportation planning. Based in Nelson\Nygaard’s Chicago office, he has contributed to several community transit plans from fixed-route feasibility studies to larger system-wide redesigns. Sam also has experience with planning demand-response services in lower density communities, Title VI analyses, transit corridor projects, and service implementation with customer-ready maps and schedules. Through his previous experience with Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways, Sam has extensive experience both managing projects with state transportation departments and local governments. Working at both city and regional scales, Sam uses his skills in urban design, public engagement, and geospatial analysis to help communities make informed transit decisions.
