James Ma

James Ma has a diverse work experience in the field of product development and materials engineering. James started their career as a Caltech Postdoctoral Scholar at JPL, where they focused on innovative manufacturing of silicon thermoelectric devices and synthesized high-performance thermoelectric materials. James then worked as a Materials Engineer at Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc., and later joined Nelumbo, Inc. as the Director of Products. At Nelumbo, they were responsible for product business case and development, specializing in anti-ice coatings and high-efficiency heat pumps for various applications. James Ma's work experience showcases their expertise in product development and materials engineering.

James Ma has a strong educational background in the field of science and engineering. James completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemistry at UC San Diego, which they completed in 2008. Later in 2008, James joined UCLA to continue their studies in Materials Science and Engineering. James obtained a Master of Science degree in this subject in 2009, and went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Science and Engineering from UCLA in 2014.
