Jonathan Bauer is a material developer with expertise in bringing soft goods to market. A trained chemical engineer and seasoned materials scientist, they have developed a passion for sporting goods, apparel, and footwear, blending their technical background into innovative products. Jonathan has held various roles, including Senior Development Engineer at Nelumbo, Inc and Research Assistant at NASA, where they contributed to advances in high-temperature polymer nanocomposites. With experience spanning international product development and large-volume manufacturing, Jonathan is currently the Director of Product Development at Nelumbo, A Kuraray Company. They earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
