Lance Brockway has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. Lance started their career as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University in 2009 and worked there until 2014. In 2014, they served as a Visiting Researcher at JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory). From 2015 to 2016, Lance worked at UC Berkeley, first as a Postdoctoral Scholar and later as the Vice Chair for External Partnerships in the Berkeley Postdoctoral Entrepreneur Program. In 2016, Lance co-founded Nelumbo, Inc, where they hold the role of Chief Technology Officer. At Nelumbo, Lance focuses on developing improved heat exchangers for the HVAC market and plays a crucial role in commercializing the company's platform of structural materials. In 2020, they also took on the role of Vice President of Business Development at Nelumbo. Additionally, Lance was an Entrepreneurial Fellow at Berkeley Lab from 2017 to 2019.
