Sofia N. has a strong background in the medical field and entrepreneurship. Sofia is currently the Co-Founder and CEO/CMO of Nema Health, a virtual center for PTSD and trauma care. Sofia has conducted research on non-consensual pornography as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Florida International University and has worked as a Data Analyst at Health 2.0. Sofia also has experience in data validation at Lyra Health. Sofia founded MedEssays, a medical student-run application consulting firm, and served as its Founder. Lastly, they worked as a Project Manager at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they were involved in healthcare delivery innovation and coordination.

Sofia N. attended the University of California, San Francisco from 2012 to 2017 where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. During their time at the university, they specialized in the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US). Sofia also pursued a Master's Degree at the University of California, Berkeley from 2015 to 2016, focusing on Healthcare Policy and Management. Prior to this, Sofia completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Berkeley from 2007 to 2011. Sofia'smajor during their undergraduate studies was Integrated Biology, Psychology.
