Neo Developer League (NeoDev) is a student-led engineering and technology competition based in Waterloo that brings high school students together in teams to build impactful hardware and software projects, focusing on real-world problem solving, community, and innovation rather than short coding challenges; it brands itself as “not a hackathon” but a movement where teams of around ten students collaborate from idea to implementation and final presentation, supported by an accessible funding model that covers key event costs so participants can focus on building, with the broader mission of inspiring the next generation of engineers and creating a recurring community of young builders who return to mentor, compete, and grow year after year.
