Nigel Hicks

Nigel Hicks has extensive experience in the renewable energy and engineering sectors, currently serving as Senior Asset Manager and BESS Technical Lead at Neoen since May 2020, overseeing the South Australian portfolio that includes major projects such as Hornsdale Wind Farms and the recently undertaken Victorian Big Battery. Prior to this role, Nigel worked at Naturgy as Wind Farm Manager for Crookwell 2 Wind Farm from April 2018 to May 2020. Nigel's earlier career includes various engineering positions at Sunshine Sugar from January 2002 to April 2018, where responsibilities ranged from Engineering Manager to Mechanical Fitter, and prior experience at Aluminium and Steel Boats, Northern Co-Operative Meat Company Ltd, and as an Engineering Apprentice at Sunshine Sugar. Nigel holds an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and has further educational qualifications from TAFE NSW.
