Alexi Young

Alexi Young is a Principal Scientist at Neogen Corporation since January 2024, with over a decade of experience as an Advanced Research Specialist at 3M from May 2011 to January 2024. Young's research focuses on developing materials and devices that interact with biological systems in a controlled and biocompatible manner. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student in the Chemistry Department at the University of Minnesota from August 2005 to May 2011, and as a Production Scientist and R&D Intern in Process Engineering at Beckman Coulter from May 2004 to August 2005. Alexi Young holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biochemistry from Saint John's University.
