Christopher G. Smith

Christopher G. Smith is a Clinical Programs Scientific Manager and Senior Scientific Associate at NeoGenomics, specializing in liquid biopsy and the analysis of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) to enhance cancer patient care. Prior to joining NeoGenomics in 2025, Christopher served as a Senior Research Associate at the CRUK Cambridge Institute, where they led research on the biological properties of ctDNA using next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics techniques. Christopher earned a PhD in the genetics and pharmacogenetics of colorectal cancer from Cardiff University, where they also gained experience as a Research Associate. Their broad interests in molecular technologies and diagnostic innovations reflect a commitment to improving clinical outcomes for cancer patients.
