Michael Ortiz is a seasoned cytogenetic technologist with over a decade of experience in the field. Currently serving as the Lead Cytogenetic Technologist at NeoGenomics Laboratories since April 2016, Michael has also held the position of Senior Cytogenetic Technologist at the same institution, focusing on chromosome analysis and FISH. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Quest Diagnostics as a Cytogenetic Technologist 2, specializing in chromosome analysis from October 2006 to March 2016. Earlier experience includes an internship at Esoterix Oncology in 2003. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M University and a Certificate in Cytogenetics/Genetics/Clinical Genetics Technology from UT Health San Antonio.
