Christy Williams is a seasoned conservation leader with extensive experience in strategic management and advocacy for environmental sustainability. Currently serving as the Director of Land Conservation at NEOM since April 2021, Christy previously held the position of Regional Director for Asia-Pacific at WWF from October 2019 to March 2021, where Christy managed a $46 million budget and led conservation efforts across nine countries. As the Country Director for WWF Myanmar from February 2016 to October 2019, Christy established the organization as a leading environmental authority and influenced policy at the highest levels. Christy also contributed to conservation initiatives as a Programme Leader at WWF International from July 2010 to February 2016 and as a Program Coordinator from July 2000 to June 2010. Christy's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Wildlife Science from the Wildlife Institute of India, an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School, and a Master of Science in Ecology from Pondicherry University.
