Faisal Baawad

Faisal Baawad is the Head of Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) at NEOM, where they contribute to the ambitious initiative of building a futuristic city in Saudi Arabia. Beginning their career in 2005 as a Process Control System Technician at Saudi Aramco, Faisal commissioned the largest oil production plant in the world, Khurais. They later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado, graduating with honors in 2015, and gained experience as a Satellite Test Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Faisal has held significant roles in various organizations, including the Saudi Space Commission, where they managed operations and space programs from 2020 to 2023, developing strategic initiatives and participating in astronaut selection.
