Gary Cheng

Gary Cheng is an accomplished civil engineering professional with extensive experience in technical management and civil works. Currently serving as the Director of Spine Civil Works at NEOM since July 2020, Gary is responsible for overseeing infrastructure projects. Previously, Gary held the position of Associate Director at Atkins from May 2006 to July 2020, focusing on operations and design delivery to contractors and government agencies. Earlier in Gary's career, significant roles included Senior Engineer at Benaim (China) Limited, where expertise in heavy civil works, and a secondment to Hochtief focused on coordinating civil works design for the Taiwan High Speed Rail project. Gary holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London and completed A-levels and GCSEs at King's Bruton in Somerset, UK.
