Gerhard Ziems

Gerhard Ziems, MSc, FCPA, GAICD, has extensive experience in financial leadership across various industries, including coal and construction. Notable positions include Group Financial Controller and Director Group Audit at Bilfinger Berger, Executive Director at Peace River Coal, Chief Financial Officer roles at Pacific National, Anglo American Metallurgical Coal, and Coronado Global Resources Inc., as well as Head of Coal Marketing and Head of Supply at BHP Billiton. Ziems has also served on the boards of globalCOAL and Jellinbah Group as Non-Executive Director, and is currently the Executive Director of Finance at NEOM. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Finance and Civil Engineering from Braunschweig University of Technology and a recent program at Harvard Business School.
