Ivan Spanjic

Ivan Spanjic is an experienced maritime industry professional currently serving as the Director of Marine Services at NEOM since January 2024. Prior to this role, Ivan was with Svitzer from May 2008 to January 2024, where important positions included Global Head of Green Ports, Chief Commercial Officer for Svitzer Australia, and Chief Operating Officer for the Africa, Middle East, and Asia regions. In these roles, Ivan focused on sustainable marine services, operational leadership across diverse markets, and driving innovation in decarbonisation strategies within the marine supply chain. Earlier experience includes managing container operations at Maersk Line and various roles at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. Ivan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University, a Financial Management Certificate from Cornell University, and completed the Inspiring Maersk Global Functions Program at IMD.
