Joe McBride currently serves as the First Assistant Commissioner - Director of Operations at NEOM within the Tax and Customs Authority, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this, Joe McBride worked at the Revenue Commissioners from January 2010 to February 2024, where roles included Head of Customs Intelligence, Principal Officer in charge of Customs Operations at Dublin Airport, Head of the Programme Management Office, and Head of ICT Systems Development. In addition to a robust career in government, Joe McBride has experience in sports management, serving as the Women's Under 19s manager at Shelbourne Football Club from January 2021 to December 2022 and as the Girls Under 15s academy manager at Metropolitan Girls Academy from September 2019 to January 2022. Jersey's academic background includes a Master of Science in Innovation Management in the Public Service from Ulster University & Letterkenny IT, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin, along with a diploma in the same field from the same institution. Joe McBride also contributed to academia as a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin and a course writer at Dublin City University.
